This is
a lively little book which deserves to be a birthday bonus or a stocking-stuffer
at Christmas.
Barbara Telfer has created 96 pages of interesting questions all related to New
Zealand, with a cheerful emphasis on native plants and animals, familiar places
and faces, and traditional Māori culture. Anagrams and code-crackers abound.
Kiwi general knowledge is well tested and you’ll be surprised at how much te
reo you have at your fingertips.
Some of
the questions are hilarious. I had no idea that the LINE that runs across
Gisborne’s airfield is the RAILWAY!
Minky
Stapleton has done a superb job of creating attractive framework illustrations
for the various puzzles. The result is simply enjoyable good fun.
